An oxymel is a traditional herbal preparation combining the sweet and tangy qualities of honey and vinegar with the healing properties of herbs. In this workshop, we focus on Mullein, a fascinating herb with a rich history of uses, it dating back to the settlers who cultivated it for its medicinal benefits.

This workshop guides you in the ethical and safe gathering of Mullein, how safely harvesting this herb will be helpful in protecting biodiversity, providing insights into its historical significance, uses, and indications.

- Â Plant Tea Exploration: Bring a cup or mug and join us for a mindful exploration of Mullein.

- Location: Meet-up in front of Pappy & Harriets (in the front next to main entrance) from there we will carpool or caravan to Boulder Gardens Sanctuary, Pioneertown Ca. a short 17 minute drive.Â
Materials Needed:
- Â Sweetener: 1 cup of honey or your syrupy sweetener (agave, maple syrup, or food-grade vegetable glycerine).
- Â Stirring Utensil: 1 wooden spoon or chopstick.
- Â Vinegar: 16 ounces of organic apple cider vinegar with the mother.
- A cup or mug for tea
🍃 Event Details:
- Bring Essentials: Pack 1 liter of water and bring snacks in case hunger arises. While there's no designated lunch break, feel free to nibble whenever you need.
- Dress Accordingly: As we ascend to higher elevations, be prepared for cooler temperatures. Wear weather-appropriate clothing, and layer up for comfort as it tends to chillyÂ

Additional Notes:
Traditionally, honey is used in oxymel preparation. If you cannot have honey, please bring one of the alternative sweeteners mentioned above.
