DISCOVERING CREOSOTE BUSH, HERBAL INFUSED OIL & SALVE WORKSHOP

Explore the flora of the desert and the how to create both medicinal and culinary infused oils that are the bases for salves, creams, lotions and more. This workshop is centered around Creosote Bush Larrea tridentata. A plant native to the Mojave Desert.

The workshop will begin with;

• Plant Tea Meditation where we will explore the taste & energetics of Creosote Bush.

• Introduction to Creosote Bush and why we need to be conscious of the ecosystem of the desert. Medicinal uses both topically and externally.

• Followed by hands-on portion of crafting your own Creosote Bush infused oil.

• Each person will take home their own 8oz jar of an oil and a Creosote Bush salve.

Led by Joshua Tree resident, herbalist Christina Sanchez of Every Leaf Speaks. Working with the ancient medicine Creosote Bush (Larrea tridentata) dating back to over 11,700 years, this plant has been used as medicine by the indigenous people and till this day herbal remedies are prepared working with Creosote Bush. Famously recognized for that “Desert Smell” Christina will be taking folks on a journey exploring the many medicinal uses of Creosote Bush both topically and externally.
