Desert Medicine Plant ID Hike.

Cost of hike is $20 - RSVP without pre-registration will not hold space. If clicking on the "reserve" button without submitting payment, our system will not reserve your space unless pre-payment is submitted. You may submit through the website or read below for the payment options.

Learn about medicinal plants of the Mojave Desert. This plant id hike explores the medicinal uses of our native flora. This hike will explore the field characteristics of local medicinal flora and traditional medicinal uses. There is a not dog policy at the preserve and there is no wildcrafting nor is this plant hike a class on wildcrafting. The location has yet to be determined. It will either be at Big Morongo Preserve or at Pioneertown Mountain Preserve. Location TBA in the next week.

Needed materials for hike;

sunscreen

water

cup or mug

sweater or a jacket.

It's autumn in the desert and it has been getting cool. This hike will take place wind or shine!

There will be a tea meditation which explores the physical energetics and actions of a local plant ally. Bring a cup or mug to partake in this tea meditation.

If bringing a child please be sure that they can hike up to 2.5 miles and can participate for the length of time in the hike. This hike is for children ages 10 and older
